Baroncroft

This house was originally a reinforced concrete box to which the previous owners had added a pitched roof & cladding, turning it from a mid-century modernist home into something resembling a ski chalet.

Our brief was to invigorate the house & bring as much daylight into the rooms as possible. The client had recently visited Frank Lloyd Wright’s famous Falling Water & wanted to bring some of the pallets of colour & materials they had seen into the project, hence the earthy tones, red oxide & horizontal transoms of the glazing.
